Well, the Oasis of the Seas cruise just ended and it was a terrific cruise!
The ship was fantastic, the cruisers and staff were great, there were fun tournaments, and so much more.

A more detailed post will be written soon.

My husband and I recently joined Linda and Jan on the Alaskan Cruise. As an experienced cruiser, I had hoped that combining poker with the pleasure of a cruise would be a perfect union – and it was! We have both played hold ‘em for a number of years, and consider it one of our favorite hobbies. This cruise allowed us to see beautiful sights in Alaska, Canada, and Seattle, as well as learn from and play with others who share our passion. We quickly made friends with several fellow poker players we met on the cruise, and have already continued those friendships.
I can’t say enough good things about how Linda and Jan run this business. The professionalism and friendliness of the poker room staff is the best I’ve ever seen. It’s also a wonderful bonus to learn from Linda and Jan during the added seminars they held during the cruise, as well as actually playing with them at the tables. It was one of the most fun and relaxed poker experiences we’ve ever enjoyed, and we hope to cruise again with them soon!
We loved the moose in Skagway!

Year three of the Women in Poker Hall of Fame inducted three deserving ladies September 3, 2010. Jennifer Harman Traniello and Kathy Liebert, along with a lifetime achievement award received posthumously by Billie Brown, joined the previous seven entrants.
Jan Fisher was the master of ceremonies for the event held at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. About 150 supporters of the event enjoyed a cocktail party and silent auction to benefit Poker Gives (pokergives.org). A great dinner followed after which keynote speaker Jeffrey Pollack took the stage. Also speaking was noted WSOP media director Nolan Dalla.
Traniello and Liebert gave gracious acceptance speeches. Kelley O’Hara, marketing director from the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, accepted and spoke on behalf of her mother, Billie.
Who will be inducted in 2011?
