Cruise scoop:
Having just returned from a cruise, here are some highlights!
Everyone had a great cruise!
Someone who attended Mark Tenners O/8 seminar won the O/8 tourney despite never having played before.

We srranged a private tubing excursion in Jamaica for 21 of our passengers and had lunch at a jerk pit called Scotchies…very authentic.

I rented a car in Cozumel and drove around the island stopping for a great lunch at Playa Bonita. 26 passengers joined me.

We took 36 passengers to Coki Beach in St. Thomas for a beach/snorkeling adventure.

We Had a mini Quest game at each of our farewell parties…hard to believe what some people will do for a 99-cent keychain. Video will be up soon!

Allure of the Seas: Part 1 Trip Report from the Eastern Caribbean

Read part 2 here

I was recently faced with a choice: to play the WSOP main event or take a two-week cruise on the magnificent Allure of the Seas. From the title of this blog, you can see that it was an easy decision! Jan Fisher and I immediately reserved a balcony cabin and booked a red-eye to Ft. Lauderdale, where we met up with friends Gyla Whitlow and Janice Goodman who were cruising with us the first week. I was looking forward to some rest and relaxation after six weeks of almost nonstop poker during the WSOP.

The purpose of this blogis to let you know what to expect if you cruise with us on the Allure of the Seas on the Card Player Cruises Sept 18-25 trip to the Eastern Caribbean and/or the Sept 25-Oct 2 Western Caribbean sailing. Passengers may cruise both weeks (automatic discount) or one week. Warning: one week just isn’t enough to discover all this ship has to offer!

Written by Linda Johnson:

There are so many aspects of the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) recent actions against online poker that I don’t understand.

I don’t understand why the very government that was built to champion personal liberty would take away our rights to play online poker, a game that citizens of almost every other country in the world are allowed to play. Why don’t we have the same rights as those who reside in other countries? continue reading…
