Chris "Jesus" Ferguson is from Pacific Palisades, California. I needn't tell you how he got the nickname, just take a look at him! Chris is 38 years old, one of the nicest and most popular players on the circuit and considers himself a student when I asked him his occupation. He bought into the event for $8,000 and came to the final table with lots of chips. He has played poker for only eight years and loves to swing dance where he is an accomplished competitor. His best dance, of course, is with his longtime girlfriend Cathy Burns. He has one "child", a puppy named Cami who is 12. His
major tournament victories include three WSOP bracelets: one for
the 2000 $2500 buy-in seven-card stud event, another for the 2001
$1500 Omaha 8/B contest, and the coup de grace, the 2000 WSOP world
championship no limit hold'em event where he won a million bucks!
His favorite game is no limit hold'em, of course, and his favorite
place to play? "At the final table." When asked for his
thoughts on the PartyPoker Million he said that "it is fun
